Bangalore Institute of Technology was founded in 1979 with the mission to provide quality education in the field of technology and also serve society as a whole through such education. The Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) was established with this goal in mind. Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha ability to provide technical education has exceeded all expectations. This has been possible because of the commitment of the entire faculty and students, as well as the community’s unconditional support. Students are inspired to fulfill their hunger for knowledge by the atmosphere at BIT.
Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). The Departments of Engineering, Management, and Computer Applications & Engineering of the institute provide UG and PG courses. BIT provides B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and MCA courses, and many more disciplines. It will be necessary for applicants to take the entrance exams for the courses they are interested in if they hope to get admitted to Bangalore Institute of Technology in 2023. KCET, KMAT, PGCET, JEE Main, and COMEDK UGET are some of the well-known entrance examinations that the institute accepts scores from, for application consideration.
Students are ensured that the institution works hard to ensure that they develop fully as individuals. In addition to being the first college in Karnataka to offer a full-fledged degree in Computer Science and Engineering, BIT is always at the forefront of the latest technological developments. As the institute has grown over the years, it has added a wide range of courses as well as planned for its future development.
BIT accepts 1452 new students per year. BIT comprises 13 research and development centers, centers of excellence for every department, start-up, idea lab, incubation, skill development, and other nurturing and supportive centers. These centers support multidisciplinary research and cooperation programs between academics and students and firms such as Bosch, Mistral, Unicorn Mark, GTURNS Data Consultants Pvt., Ltd. In addition, BIT is renowned for being the IGNOU program study centre. With 262 highly trained teaching faculty members, BIT is proud. Out of them, 100 faculty members hold a Ph.D., while 56 more are working toward one. Sixty percent of the teachers have been with BIT for more than twenty years. The Institution employs 277 dedicated and productive support staff teams.

- Print it off and complete the form with all the necessary information.
- Draw an 800 INR demand draft payable to “Finance Officer, VTU, Belagavi.”
- Applications that have been properly completed, along with a demand draft for Rs.800 that has been drawn, should be delivered to the college address.
The admission to First year BE courses in BIT is through three modes viz. KCET, Comed-K and Management quota. The lateral entry admission of Diploma students to Second year BE is only through Diploma KCET.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in B.E Programs in Bangalore Institute of Technology:
Eligibility: General Merit Candidates
Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the four years B.E. degree course should have passed two years of P.U.C. / 12th examinations conducted by the Pre-University Board of Karnataka State or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Visvesvaraya Technology University. Student should have obtained a minimum of 45% of aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Bio-Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
Eligibility: SC/ST & OBC (Cat-I, 2A, 2B, 3A 3B) Candidates
Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the four years B.E. degree course should have passed two years of P.U.C. / 12th examinations conducted by the Pre-University Board of Karnataka State or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Visvesvaraya Technology University. Student should have obtained a minimum of 40% of aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Bio-Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission in M.Tech Programs:
Entrance Exam: GATE Qualified or Karnataka PGCET.
M.Tech applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from Visvesvaraya Technology University or any university recognized as equivalent to Visvesvaraya Technology University. Additionally, any educational institution established by an act of Parliament must meet this requirement. This degree requires a minimum of four years of study and a minimum GPA of 5.75. SC, ST, and Category I applicants are required to have a minimum CGPA of 5.25.

One of Bangalore’s top engineering schools, Bangalore Institute of Technology is owned and operated by Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha and holds a VTU university certification. The facilities are good, the laboratories are well-equipped, and the classrooms are well-designed. We have access to Wi-Fi at our campus, and there are two well-stocked libraries with pleasant interiors and a wide selection of literature. Regarding the faculty, each member has outstanding experience and is rigorous in their teaching. Because our college is under VTU, teachers share more curricular programs, and semester examinations are administered under extremely strict guidelines.
