Management Quota Admission in Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology
Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology is one of the most prestigious and well-recognized engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka. Established in 1986 by Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust, Sir MVIT presents ten Bachelor of Engineering degree programs in the following fields: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Information Science, Bio-Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and CSE (IoT & Cybersecurity including Blockchain Technology). Master of Business Administration, Master of Technology in Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), Master of Technology in Electronics, Master of Technology in Biotechnology & Biochemical Engineering, and Master of Technology in Electronics.
The Institute is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education and the National Board of Accreditation in New Delhi. It is a part of Visvesvaraya Technological University. Sir MVIT has also been accredited by the National Assessment Accreditation Council. The mechanical, electrical, and electronics, biotechnology, and electronics and communication engineering departments have all been named R&D centers by the university.
Sir MVIT is situated on a 133-acre campus on Bellary Road, next to the Air Force base in Yelahanka and adjacent to Bengaluru International Airport (21 kilometres from Bangalore city station). The institute has 2800 students, more than 260 highly skilled employees, well-equipped labs (including project labs), and lecture rooms with the right multimedia tools for every course.
Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology Admission Procedure
Admission through CET: The Karnataka government generally schedules the Common Entrance Test in April each year. Applications for this test are open to students who are residents of Karnataka, and seat allocations are made online. Of the overall intake, CET will be utilized to fill 45% of the available seats. Furthermore, tuition reductions are granted to worthy students from economically disadvantaged households for 5% of Super-numerary Quota (SNQ) seats.
Admission through COMED-K: Each year, this test is likely to be administered by a consortium of the administrators of private institutions in the state of Karnataka in the month of May. Students from both Karnataka and outside of the state can take this exam. The COMED-K test will be used for 30% of the available seats in the program.
Admission through the Management Quota:
25 percent of the seats will be filled by a management quota. The application process for provisional admission starts in April each year.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission in B.E Programs:
Students must complete the required courses for the 10+2 examination which included Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational subjects. At least 45% (or 40% for those in Karnataka’s reserved category) in the combined subjects listed above.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission in B.E (3 Years under Lateral Entry) Programs:
A diploma from an AICTE-approved institution or a passing score on an equivalent exam from an accredited university along with 10+2 passed with a passing grade in mathematics. Get an average of 45% in your 10+2 grades (or 40% if you are a candidate from Karnataka’s reserved category). Admission only through KEA.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in M.Tech Programs:
A candidate should have Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in the appropriate discipline is required. And have achieved at least 50% on their qualifying exam (or 45% if they were a candidate from Karnataka’s reserved category). Appeared in the PGCET/GATE.

FIRST YEAR ADMISSION FOR UG COURSES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-24
Admission to first year B.E.Courses is through Common Entrance Test (UGCET) conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) & Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) conducted by Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental College Karnataka (COMEDK). Admission to Management Quota seats is based on merit and rank obtained in any of the Entrance Test: UGCET, UGET, JEE/AIEEE or Institution level test.

Direct Admission in Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology is done through management quota
25 percent of the seats will be filled by a management quota. The application process for provisional admission starts in April each year.
All branches of engineering at the Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology have Management Quota seats available based upon the marks obtained in class 12th. The minimum criterion for direct admission is 45% marks in PCM 12th in order to be eligible for direct admission.

Colleges offer suitable training for enrollment in placements, with character importance supplied by campus drives. There was a slight improvement in student placement from super seniors, and there is a placement department and place offers that are keen on placing students. Several companies visited the campus last year, and many of my seniors were placed. Last year, 92% of students were placed at our college.
College infrastructure includes air-conditioned classrooms, fully equipped labs, a large library with a wide range of books, an indoor stadium, a football and cricket ground, a tennis court, a swimming pool, and LAN (rather than wifi) technology for faster internet access. You can also set up your own router.
Teachers at college play a vital part in our academic lives since they serve as mentors and advisors. They give us assistance for our assignments, help us identify and overcome obstacles, and teach knowledge in an excellent way.
