CMR Institute of Technology Admission Procedure

• The registration form must be completed by all candidates. This needs to be done at the CMRIT College Campus.
• Visit the Admissions Department to meet Mrs. Revathi R, the Admissions Coordinator.
• Details about the admission fee will be provided to the eligible candidate.
• Candidates may complete the application form and submit it together with the required documentation after their eligibility has been verified.

 A student who wishes to apply for admission to one of the undergraduate engineering programs at CMR Institute of Technology may do so in one of the following ways:

• Common Entrance Test (CET) and Selection Process
• COMEDK and Selection Process
• Management Admission Process

Common Entrance Test (CET) and Selection Process

Through the Karnataka Examination Authority, the Government of Karnataka administers the Common Entrance Test (CET). Through the government quota, this admission test serves as a means of acquiring an engineering seat. Four topics are examined by the CET: mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. Applicants need take the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics examinations if they want to be considered for admission to engineering programs. During CET counselling, students have the option to select CMRIT and are presented with a list of institutions based on their CET rating.

COMEDK and Selection Process

Entrance exams are also administered by the Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association, popularly known as the “Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka,” or COMEDK, to all students, regardless of state. Centralized counselling will take place following the conducting of the COMEDK admission exam and the announcement of the test results and rank lists. During COMEDK counselling, students have a choice to choose the institution of their choices. CMRIT is one option available to them at this time.

Management Admission Process

Admission through this approach is available to both Karnataka and non-Karnataka students. Applicants can get the application form by getting in contact with the CMRIT Admissions Section. Eligible applicants are those who fulfill the qualifying requirements listed in the eligibility criterion. Candidates will be chosen based on their academic performance.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in B.E Programs:

Students must have obtained at least 45% of their total marks in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Electronics, and Computers in the 2nd PUC/12th/Equivalent Exam, which must have included English as one of the languages. (40% for those from the Karnataka reserved category).

Additionally, the candidate must pass one of the entrance tests listed below: COMED-K, JEE, CET, and AIEEE

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in M.Tech Programs:

Candidates who have completed the appropriate Bachelor of Engineering examination with at least a 50% overall score are eligible for admission to M.Tech programs. (45% for applicants from Karnataka who are SC/ST). Additionally, the candidate must have passed at least one of the required entrance tests, which are listed below.

• The Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) and Selection Process or the Management Admission Process is the two options available to students who want to apply for admission to CMRIT’s Post Graduate Engineering Programs.
• Selection Process and the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET)
• Every year, in the months of May and June, the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (exam administered by www.kea.kar.nic.in) is held. Admission to colleges connected to Visvesvaraya Technological University requires passing this test. Based only on candidates from the state of Karnataka’s written test results, PGCET counselling will be performed. When receiving centralized counselling, eligible students have the option of selecting CMRIT.

Students who are eligible (those who satisfy the eligibility criteria) can get in touch with the CMRIT Admissions Section to get the application form. Candidate selection will be based on academic merit.

CMR Institute of Technology Reviews and Feedback

CMRIT is fantastic, with an ideal combination of curricular and cultural characteristics. It offers an excellent, self-sufficient foundation for students to succeed, resulting in a well-rounded development. The fundamentals of academics are solved clearly and paying close attention to clear basic concepts. The feedback system for enhancing the teaching approach is closely followed. A worthwhile college experience is produced by a welcoming environment and friendly staff-student relationships. There is a good balance between academic and non-academic infrastructure at the college. They are extremely strict about attendance, discipline, and certain do’s and don’ts. However, they do not go to extremes in these areas. There is a lot of average staff in every engineering college in Bangalore. There is no college in Bangalore that can claim to have an excellent staff. In order to study engineering, you have to rely largely on yourself. Although they do not offer excellent lectures in all subjects, they do provide adequate guidance.
